Meeson Pae Yang was born in Indianapolis, IN and has lived in Los Angeles for over twenty-five years. She earned a BFA from UCLA (2002). Her works have been in solo exhibitions international and nationally at Kashya Hildebrand (Zurich, Switzerland), Lawrence Asher (Los Angeles, CA), and JK Gallery (Culver City, CA). Yang’s work has been featured at the Torrance Art Museum, Japanese American National Museum, and is in the permanent collections of Ace Gallery (Los Angeles), the Dallas World Trade Center, as well as many private collections. Her public installations include the LAX International Airport (Department of Cultural Affairs) and Mobile Exhibits (Arts Council for Long Beach). Yang’s work has received awards from the Durfee Foundation’s Artists’ Resource for Completion Grant, the Visions from the New California Award, the Hans G. and Lordis W. Burkhardt Foundation Award and the Beverly Alpay Award.
